Attended the NAIDOC event at Sydney University, July 2017, on the theme of ‘Our Language Matters’ as well as Naidoc celebrations at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, and the South Sydney Rabbitohs NAIDOC festival at Heffron Park.

Participated in a morning training session with the Tribal Warriors Association Clean Slate Program for Aboriginal youth in September 2017.  Talked about the importance of kidney health and offered on the spot kidney health testing to check their kidney function.

Guest lecturers at Sydney University for the students doing their Graduate Diploma of Indigenous Health Promotion from August 2017 onwards

Guest lecturer for 1st year and 2nd year medical students at the University of Sydney’s Medical School’s Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Health Night in September 2017

Guest speaker at Greater Western Aboriginal Health Service, Aboriginal Male Health forum in December 2017

Radio interview at the Gadigal Information Services Koori Radio site in March 2018, to raise awareness of the huge burden of kidney disease in the Aboriginal population for National Kidney Week and talk about the research we are doing to improve future preventative measures.

Collaborating with Jullums Aboriginal Medical Service and the University Centre for Rural Health to host an evening event in Lismore for World Kidney Day, March 2018.
